General Tips for Leading Small Groups
What Happens in a Small Group?
Most Small Groups meet every week or every other week. In general, meetings will include a meal or light snack, some socializing, a discussion from a book or the Scriptures, authentic sharing about each other’s lives, moments for prayer, care for people’s needs, and serving to meet needs around you or in our city. Group meetings last about an hour and a half to two hours.
Small Groups are facilitated by Leaders. Most leaders will facilitate group discussion, though many groups choose to share this responsibility. More importantly, Small Group Leaders look out for the spiritual health and growth of the group members, encouraging them to walk more closely with God.
This page includes basic tips for Small Group Leaders.
